About CSTA Publications
Connecticut Science Teachers Association publishes four newsletters each year, and two issues of the Journal of Connecticut Science Education. These are electronic publications. Notice is sent to members by email about release dates.
The publications are a benefit of membership. To read the issues, and to access the archives, please log in to the http://www.csta-us.org site at the top right corner of the home page. Your log in is your email, and your password is one that you have set. If you have forgotten your password, you can click on the "forgot password" link and it will be sent to you at your email. If you have problems accessing the site, please email Laurel Kohl for assistance.

CSTA Newsletters are published quarterly. They contain important information about upcoming events and programs.

The Journal of Connecticut Science Education is published twice a year. With articles by Connecticut educators, it is a great way to learn about what is happening in Connecticut Science.

Are you interested in writing for the Newsletter or the Journal?
We encourage you to submit articles, both small and large---tell other educators about your summer program experiences, great classroom lessons, research you have done for graduate programs, and work your students have done. Writing for CSTA Publications

If you have an article, information, comment, event or other item that relates to science or science education, pleasesend it in to the CSTA Newsletter or the Connecticut Journal of Science Education. The Newsletter is for shorter articles — a page or less. The Journal may host a story with multiple pages.

Ideas Include:
Tips for field trips, the classroom, lab activities, ideas to share with colleagues, science events at your school or district, or other science related activities.

Items can be at any level K-16.

Newsletter Information or articles can be a short paragraph of a few words or something a bit lengthier. (Articles may be edited for space.)

If photos are included, please include names for captioning. Left to right, Top to bottom.

You will be given an appropriate by-line credit for your article.

Publication deadlines for submission of material for the Newsletter are:
August 15, November 15, February 15 and April 15.

September 15, March 15.

The Connecticut Journal of Science Education is published twice a year. Both more formal and comprehensive than the Newsletter, the Journal offers lessons, current issues discussions, local fieldtrip and activities reviews. To view these issues you must be logged onto this site as a member. Log in is in the upper right corner of the home page.
